The pre-order for Shovel Knight The Definitive Soundtrack will open on October 24, 2016.

Generation Series 002: Shovel Knight The Definitive Soundtrack will be available digitally for purchase and streaming, on CD and for the first time ever, on 12-inch vinyl! We will also be offering two poster designs featuring artwork by Mega Man and Pokémon artist Hitoshi Ariga exclusive to The Definitive Soundtrack. Unlike 2015's staggered release of Street Fighter II The Definitive Soundtrack, all copies of the initial allocation will be available for pre-order. We expect demand to be very high for this initial press, so please ensure you order your copy as soon as possible.

You may pre-order the Vinyl edition at this link: For other editions, see "SKUs" below.

Shipping and Returns

Shovel Knight The Definitive Soundtrack is available globally and we will ship to all regions. Note that the shipping and returns policies differ depending on where you make your purchase (through Brave Wave, BigWax, Mondo, or other retailers), so consult the returns policies for each website. Brave Wave's return policy can be found here:

  • Vinyl orders are strictly limited to one copy per person and address
If you place multiple vinyl orders under the same name and address, all of your orders will be cancelled. This is to prevent resellers from buying up stock. If there are two people in your household who want to buy the vinyl separately, you will have to ship one to a different address.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the specifications of the vinyl?

The two LPs are 150-gram vinyl, at 33⅓ RPM. Both discs are blue colored.

How fast should I purchase the vinyl? Do you have enough stock?

While we expect the initial allocation to satisfy immediate demand, we do expect a high level of interest in the product. If you want your copy, please pre-order as soon as possible to secure it.

Will there be more pressings?

We will keep on pressing the vinyl box set as long as there's demand for it from our fans.

When will my vinyl ship?

Vinyl will begin shipping in mid-December 2016. Delays are always a possibility, so we will keep you up-to-date if there are changes to this schedule. We apologize that we can't give a more exact date.

If I order both a CD and a vinyl, will you ship them together?

They will each be available on different shops (Vinyl on BigWax and Mondo, CD on Bandcamp), so they will have to be ordered separately, with separate shipping costs.

Do you ship worldwide?

For the most part, yes. Please keep in mind that depending on where you live, there may be customs or import fees you’ll have to pay.

Where do your items ship from?

Items purchased on Bandcamp ship from three warehouses: San Francisco, CA and Ann Arbor, MI, USA, and from London, UK for European customers. Items purchased on BigWax ship from Paris.

Can I buy this in a store? Are you working with any distributors?

Currently, we are working with Mondo to sell the product to our North American customers.

Who processes orders and payments?

Our direct sales are processed through Bandcamp, while payments are done through PayPal. You can use your PayPal balance or an assortment of credit or debit cards that PayPal accepts. BigWax and Mondo accept an assortment of credit cards and other payment options as well. Please consult with them regarding their policies.

Is this an official and authorized Yacht Club Games product?

Yes. Yacht Club Games, the original developer and publisher for Shovel Knight, worked closely with the folks here at Brave Wave Productions to release this officially licensed product.

Why are you taking preorders for the vinyl?

We’re a small and independent label, and manufacturing vinyl—plus storing the heavy stock in a warehouse with a dedicated shipping team—is a very costly procedure. We want to ensure that we don't over-stock (or worse, under-stock) the release.
